MUDVAYNE Members Feel Like 'Fish Out Of Water' At GRAMMYS
February 13, 2006Launch caught up with MUDVAYNE singer Chad Gray and guitarist Greg Tribbett at the Grammy Awards last Wednesday (February 8),where the band was nominated for Best Metal Performance for its song "Determined". Gray admitted to feeling a little out of place at the glitzy ceremony. "Bit of a fish out of water, you know what I mean?" he said. "It's not really my deal, but we're glad to be a part of it, we're glad to be recognized for what we do, and that's amazing."
MUDVAYNE lost the Grammy on Wednesday night to SLIPKNOT.
MUDVAYNE has been on the road since last spring promoting its third album, "Lost and Found", and will start a North American tour with KORN later this month. Greg Tribbett told Launch that the group's schedule is starting to take its toll. "It is getting kind of grueling," he said. "We just flew in from Australia yesterday, we'll go home for a week and then we're back out on the road, so...that's what we do — make records and tour."
The KORN/MUDVAYNE trek, with 10 YEARS also on the bill, begins on February 24 in Bakersfield, California, wrapping up six weeks later on April 4 in Toronto, Canada.
The latest single from "Lost and Found" is "Fall Into Sleep".
